Meal-Trade Kft. primarily provides wholesale services for the Horeca sector. The company was established by Ferenc Kerekes in Debrecen, in 2005. They operate in Hajdú-Bihar and Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg counties, where they also supply small independent shops and public service catering units. Commercial director Zsolt Pusztai told Trade magazin that in 2008 they opened a new, modern warehouse centre in Ebes, where they use IT solutions they developed themselves. The director explained that Meal-Trade Kft.’s suppliers know: their products will be transported to end users without any deterioration in quality, as the company pays special attention to hygiene, storage and transportation conditions. Meal-Trade Kft.’s fleet of trucks guarantees on-time delivery, drivers wear the company uniform and use the latest devices in their work. Their successful delivery rate is 95 percent, so the customer service doesn’t have much work to do – but if a problem occurs, they solve it rapidly and flexibly. Mr Pusztai made it clear that that Meal-Trade Kft.’s trucks never arrive dirty and the goods are delivered in a hygienic fashion, in an orderly manner and with greet precision. They now also transport to towns and villages in Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén. The company’s sales rep team has 12 members and they do more than just taking orders and selling, discussing everything with partners for a more efficient cooperation. Currently Meal-Trade Kft. offers 4,000-5,000 SKUs, from FMCG products to cooking ingredients. 100-perecent Hungarian-owned Meal-Trade Kft. makes great efforts to buy everything in the Hungarian market and has an excellent relationship with Hungarian manufacturers. For the time being they employ 134 people and many of them have been with the company since the beginning. In 2005 Meal-Trade Kft. earned the ISO certification. They regularly organise meetings with partners to share experiences and discuss possible areas of improvement. Zsolt Pusztai is convinced that using 21st-century technology and logistics and offering 21st-century services are rightful demands from partners in East Hungary too. Meal-Trade Kft.’s goal is to take as much burden off partners shoulders as possible, so that they can focus more on their own work and become more successful than ever before. (x)
