Lidl plans to bulid an ice cream plant
Lidl builds a two-storey plant and a cold storage from 200-250 million euros, where the company will produce its private label ice creams from the summer of 2017.
The German discount chain decided to take the step because regular delivery problems occur at its supplier, the Bremen-based Milram – portfolio.hu wrote after Handelsblatt.
Lidl sells ice cream in an annual value of 300 million euros in Europe. The new plant will be able to produce ice cream in a value of roughly 200 million euros. (portfolio.hu)
