Magazine: Quality without compromises
In the autumn of 2014 a new salt brand appeared on grocery store shelves, called 7001. The product line is advertised as ‘The salt of the Earth’ and offers high-quality, pure salts and salt products to conscious buyers. Salinen Budapest Kft.’s managing director Alfréd Szalczer told our magazine that Salinen has been present in Hungary since 1991. The Austrian parent company mines salt and produces, packages and transports table salt. Salinen Budapest’s market share among small-size products is above 50 percent. New product line 7001 was designed with the Hungarian market in mind. The innovation process started 4 years ago and what consumers finally get is high-purity, primal sea salt mined Hallstatt and packaged in Ebensee. 1kg products come in special leak-proof bags. Salinen knows that consumers have to be educated: they have to understand that the human body needs salt and it does matter what kind of source it comes from. 7001 products are now listed in all major retail chains, available in various formats, e.g. 1kg bag, 500g carton box, 200g and 90g pour spouts. There are 100-percent additive-free products and there are enhanced versions too – all of them are sold at affordable prices. Salinen Budapest has salt products in all price categories and they also manufacture private label products. The company plans for the long term, so they can offer safe, transparent and well-plannable cooperation to business partners.(x)
