The Veolia Energia bought the biomass power plant in Szakoly

With the approval of the Hungarian Competition Authority (GVH), the Veolia Energia Magyarország Zrt. bought the operator of the Szakoly biomass-fueled power plant, the Dél-nyírségi Bioenergia Művek Energiatermelő (DBM) Zrt. from the NRG Power Szakoly Kft.

The group did not disclose the purchase price referring to business confidentiality.
According to the information the powerhouse in Szakoly handed over in 2009 produces electricity by firing 140-150 thousand tons of wood chips and wood plant by-products annually. The plant employs 55 people and has 19.8 megawatts of nominal capacity. (MTI)
