Dunapack modernises Nyíregyháza production facility
On 23 January Dunapack Kft. officially completed the HUF 1.7-billion modernisation project of its Nyíregyháza production facility. The European Union financed the project with HUF 851.4 million within the framework of the New Széchenyi Plan. Thanks to the modernisation of the production technology, the factory’s annual corrugated board production capacity will increase by 15-20 million square metres and the proportion of faulty products will be 8 percent lower. What is more, the new technology used in production minimises the factory’s environmental impact. The number of products manufactured using flexo-technology will grow from 3,000 to 3,250. At the inauguration ceremony managing director Attila Galambos talked about future developments, Minister of National Development Miklós Seszták praised Dunapack’s development efforts, while Prinzhorn Group CEO Cord Prinzhorn told that in the future they plan to focus more on recycling. Alexander Enzenberg, the head of Dunapack’s packaging division added that they managed to realise the necessary developments and find the right experts to be able to offer a wide range of packaging solutions.
