Medal rain in Bordeaux
Hungarian wineries won a record number of 49 medals, including 18 gold at one of the most prestigious international wine competition, the Challenge du Vin Bordeaux.
At this year’s French wine competition, so-called the Olympics of Wines, 4180 wines were judged from 34 countries. Most of the wines (2243) came from France. The Hungarian wine cellars sent 128 wine samples were to the challenge – Sylvie le Palud press officer for the competition informed MTI.
The results of the competition took place on 4 and 5 April was published on Friday. According to the datas that were published on the website of the competition, the Hungarian wines won 18 gold, 18 silver and 13 bronze medals. (MTI)
