Tax inspectors visited stores in 2000 cases on the basis of online cash register data

The National Tax and Customs Administration sent inspectors to the stores in 2000 cases in the past half year, after found the traffic of the stores suspicious on the basis of the data of the online cash registers – was said at a conference.

Mizsányi Attila Head of Department of the National Tax and Customs Administration (NAV) at the conference said that the estimated rate of VAT tax gap in Hungary decreased by 4 percentage points (from 22 percent to 18 percent) since 2013, according to the September study of the European Commission.
