The government considers to introduce a 3-5 percent tax on advertising
The government is considering to introduce a 3-5 percent tax on advertising and seeks to protect the smaller media companies.
Specific proposals for the amendment of the advertising tax has not yet been completed, but Lázár János Minister leading the Prime Minister’s Office told that the government may launch the amendment in March. The Minister also pointed out that the European Commission’s (EC) Directorate General pursue legal action against Hungary in relation to the advertising tax, therefore changes are needed. (MTI)
