According to the Hungarian Turkey Association the high VAT inhibits consumption
The Hungarian Turkey Association has organized its annual professional conference for the third time, where the major issues of the poultry and turkey industry were discussed.
At the event, it was said that although the of 1-2 years decline in turkey meat consumption and production could be experinced in Europe, the domestic sector found impetus in line with the Western European market; Furthermore, the consumption of poultry meat, including turkey meat may increase further – according to the projections by the OECD / FAO.
