The conversion of agricultural production can prevent from the loss of biodiversity in Hungary
With reductions in the use of natural resources and the conversion of agricultural production can prevent from the loss of biodiversity in Hungary. It can also help to retain the survival of protected animals and plant species in Hungary – conservationists said in connection with a report on the current state of natural resources in the European Union. The research found that the biological diversity is going through unacceptable reductions in Europe.
“The decline in biodiversity can only be stopped by reducing the use of natural resources and leave more space for natural processes. We must develop our production-consumption system and need to integrate nature conservation concerns into different sectors.” – Farkas István, President of the Hungarian Association of Conservationists wrote in a statement he sent to MTI.
