Microbiological solutions specialist AGRO.bio Hungary Kft., the Agricultural and Rural Youth Association (AGRYA) and their partners launched their City Gardeners training programme on 4 September. The programme has been created for young city dwellers who don’t work in agriculture. It is enough to have 7m² of land to apply for participation, as this size is adequate to produce enough tomato and pepper for a small family to last for one year. 28m² of land and a few days work a week are enough for a household to save HUF 160,000 on annual produce costs.
