KSH: retail sales increased by 4.7 percent in August
The volume of retail sales increased by 4.7 percent, compared to a year before in August – according to both the raw and calendar adjusted data – the Central Statistics Office (KSH) published its first estimate on Monday. The retail sales are increasing in Hungary without interruption since July 2013.
After July's 6.8 percent average increase the annual growth rate slowed somewhat in all retail sectors. The calendar effect adjusted volume of food retail and beverages increased by 3.7 percent in August, the volume of non-food retail increased by 4.6, while the fuel retail sales increased by 7.4 percent.
