Retail sales growth slowed, but still strong
Compared to the previous months, the growth of retail sales slowed, but remained strong in August, according to experts who also added that the cheaper fuel continue to pull the balance up.
According to the data published on Monday by the Central Statistical Office (KSH) the volume of retail sales in August increased by 4.7 percent, compared with a year before, according to both the raw and calendar adjusted data. Sales increased by 3.7 percent in food and beverages retail, in non-food retail the growth was 4.6 percent, while fuel retail sales rose by 7.4 percent. (MTI)
