Nielsen: consumer buying mood has improved
The Nielsen Consumer Confidence Index has reached a three year record in Hungary. This is mainly due to the improvement in consumers' buying mood, and also compared to the previous survey, more people consider their personal financial situation as positive over the next twelve months.
During this year's second quarter survey, the consumer confidence index in Hungary has increased two points, compared to the first quarter, and is standing on 56 points. Higher result (59 points) was measured in the fourth quarter of 2010 the last time.
Overall, the 56-point Hungarian consumer confidence index is below the European average, which increased to 77 points, from the 75 points of the first quarter.
