The euro zone’s foreign trade surplus increased in October

In October, as the result of the increase in exports and due to the stagnation in imports the euro zone’s trade surplus increased.

According to the first estimate; in October, the 18-member euro zone's foreign trade surplus carried out by trade with the rest of the world increased to 24 billion euros, from the 16.5 billion euros of a year before. In October, exports increased by 4 percent on an annual level, while imports stagnated.

In September, the euro zone’s foreign trade surplus was 18.1 billion euros, compared to the previous year’s 10.9 billion euros. (MTI)
