A record corn crop is expected in Tolna county
The highest average of the last six years, 8-9 tons per hectares corn crop is expected in Tolna county, but the harvest is behind schedule due to significant rainfall in October and the export has not started as well.
According to the Wednesday informations of the Tolna County Board of Directors of the National Agricultural Chamber last week, 40 percent of the 105 thousand hectares of corn was harvested in the county. The current yield is 9 tons per hectare. The National Agricultural Chamber (NAK) told that in many places inland water hamperes the harvest and crop removal. (MTI)
