We eat chips for more than 160 years
Some people considers chips as a manufactured food product, but the potato slices are more than 160 years old, and they are really made of potatoes.
The chips celebrated its anniversary on 24 August. Its existence is due to an American chef. This is the history of the chips: George Crum chef worked in a restaurant in Saratoga Springs in 1853. On 24 August, a guest said that the slices were too thick. Crum cut the potatoes thinner and thinner, finally so thin that it could not be eaten with a fork. However, the guest really loved the very thinly sliced potatoes and that is how the chips was born.
